These workshops aim to give you new insights to the green transition and youth employment – while asking what young people can do about them.
If you are a participant, you have been sent a link to the registration form. You are asked to select three workshops and list them in the order of preference by November 7th. We will inform you the following week about which workshop you are selected to.

Youth Climate and Nature Group of the Finnish Prime Minister’s Office | Read more
The green transition will require the reshaping of many industries, which will have consequences for their employees. For example, increasing pressure to reduce commercial flying might lead to significant changes in the aviation sector. How can we support affected professionals in finding secure employment during the transition? To ensure fairness, it’s crucial to think forward.
As a participant, you will join a fictional citizens’ assembly, aiming to find consensus in a group of different stakeholders. After a briefing to equip you with ideas and insight, the group will, through negotiation, create a political strategy for the future of the aviation industry.
In this interactive workshop, the Youth Climate and Nature Group of the Finnish Prime Minister’s Office invites you to constructively explore the potential discrepancies between green transition and social justice.

The Nordic Youth Council (UNR) | Read more
When the Nordic Council makes decisions, the Nordic Youth Council not only sits around the same table, but has the right to put forward policy proposals. How did that happen? How did the Nordic Youth Council go from a forum to a political actor – and how can the lessons learnt be used in other organizations as well?
Through this case example, we will discuss how youth participation and inclusion in decision-making processes can make more effective policies and increase the resilience of societies as a whole. We will discover ways to make sure that young people’s ideas and initiatives are valued and taken into consideration in all policy sectors – not just those that are traditionally considered as “youth politics.”
